My favorite thing about green beauty is wearing more eco-friendly and clean makeup. A new find has been this INCREDIBLE liquid liner from Ilia; the only caveat is that my oily eyelids tend to ruin my liner and my eyeshadow. It’s almost not even worth it to make a dazzling eye look because in a few hours it will fall victim to the oil. This Eye Primer is so smooth and provides an incredible base for my shadows and liner! It’s going on 13+ hours and my eye makeup is still in tact; no touch-up needed! It’s like magic!
I have oily eyelids and have tried a lot of eye primers. Unfortunately, this eye primer does not work for me either. I would appreciate any tips and tricks to keep my eyeshadow in place.
Hi Lilia, I would be happy to help with some tips and tricks to keep your eyeshadow in place. Thank you for reaching out so that we can try to help. First, remove any possible excess oil from your lids before applying the Eye Primer from lash to brow bone. This will help extra oil from any skincare as well as natural oil in your skin. Allow a moment for the Eye Primer to dry before applying shadow. A trick you can try is to apply the Eye Primer to your eyeshadow applicator and then dip that into your shadow and apply it directly to your lid to lock down the color. This will fuse the two together. It usually intensifies the color as well and will help it stay. Please let us know how that works for you. Thanks!
I was blown away by the eye primer. My eyelids are extremely oily plus I have sensitive skin too. My eyeshadow stayed on and zero irritation. The color looked brighter and stay on.
